Default H&R springs/Bilstein shocks combo

Hi everybody,

I am contemplaiting on installing H&R OE springs (0.75/0.5 drop, live in NYC - read bad roads)

with Bilstein shocks combo. The question is should I go with
Bilstein Heavy Duty or Sport (shorter) model?
Bilstein seems to recommend Sport shocks for a lowered ride, but with that very modest drop of H&R OE I am not sure..

How stiff HD shocks compare to SP and our stock? From what I know so far HD are about 15% stiffer than stock.

If anybody has this setup please describe how your ride had changed compare to stock.

Also, any installation tips are needed and greatly appretiated!
i.e. retaining bump stops, wrapping springs in plastic etc.

Thanks!

what year is your car?

last i checked bilstein only made HD's for 5th gens. and there's a big enough difference between the 4th, and 5th gens that the sport model for 4th won't fit 5th's. at least that's what bilstein told me.

beyond that, i have neuspeed sport springs (wound by H&R) and bilstein HD shocks and i love the ride. a bit harsh on rough roads, but bearable... it rides a bit like my brother's '93 mustang cobra actually...

HD's are shorter by a lil than stock I believe. My rears definately were shorter, i didnt check the fronts but I assume they are as well.
