Installing Some Teins
is it hard to do for a newbie with little or no mechanic skills? also how long would i have to wait until i get an alignment? and time wise how long would it take? sorry for asking too much but i need help from the pros

ok... u passed the 1st test :thumbup:
are you comfortable with working with tools? do you have jacks and jack stands and know how to use them? grab a haynes manual, theyre pretty informative. if you think you can follow those directions, then ur set

thanks for the courage....................i installed the aem CAI by myself so i figure if i read the instructions word for word, i shouldn't have any problems, and i work with tools all the time, on cars rarely though

just be real careful...improperly compressed springs can be a death sentence.....
Get the alignment within 2-4 weeks and you should be ok, but don't wait...
good luck, i wouldn't have the guts to try this w/o help...

This is pertinent if you did not get your coilovers preassemebled with the mount on top already...
When you remove your stock shocks and springs you may need to use the original mount on your teins. The spring is on the shock, compressed and the only thing holding it there and not exploding in your face is the mount.
To safely remove the mount you must first compress the spring and then remove the mount and then release the tension on the spring...if you don't do this corectly you could have a hole in your chest when the spring unloads its stored energy.
Similarly, the tein springs depending on how tight they are will prolly need to be compressed also when you put the mount on top of the coilover...again another chance for a spring to shoot loose at you...
