I did my suspension without the compressors, I just made sure to release the tension down. I pulled the top nut when the bottom was disconnected and the spring went down, towards the ground as it was still hanging from the top of the mount in the chasis. Dumb sounding, but it worked, and I still have all my fingers...

Yeah, doing it without a compressor if fairly easy.

the compressors are like 25-40 bucks on ebay or a local parts store. just buy one and you can help ur friends out too.

i got quoted 350 for install for these, that high?

yes! considering compressor rental is max $5 .... try doing the install yourself. It's worth it to learn a little bit about your vehicle so if something goes wrong you can try to fix it yourself. You'll have the most gratifying feeling afterwards. Trust me.

most places in so cal will install for $100 max.

I got quoted on a set of Tein SS's here for $950 and install at $150, now if only I had the cash.
