You live in a warm climate, but I wouldntgo any heavier than a 10w oil. I would definitely not run 20w-50.

Whatz up all? Just sitting here in the freezing cold Canadian Winter. Any way....I've noticed that the 5w-30 is all right for a new honda but once they get a little older I've found that they tend to burn oil if you use 5w-30. I myself run 10w 30 and have had no oil consumption since. Also the only time I would run 20w 50 (which is super thick for high compression diesel engines) is if you live in arizona or nevada or something like that when there are consent temps over 90. Or if you like to drive at full throttle over long periods. For example NASCARS run fairly thick oil. On the other hand if your drag-racing I'd run full synthetic 0 weight and maybe only 3 quarts instead of 4. The thinner oil and less volume provide less resistence on your rotating crank assembly. But oil life is much less and would recommended switching as soon as you see color change in the oil.

yep that's why honda came out with 5w-20 for the newer engines.
