Laser guns are mad expensive and a pain in the ass to operate. On country roads, you will NEVER see laser. That is where I do my fast driving. You need good radar detection to be able to detect any cops behind the next hill with their radars on. Ever ridden in a squad car? They have a radar mounted in the middle of the windshield and they just leave it on. On the highway (at least here, with NYS Troopers), I'd say 1/10 cops has laser. And it's usually only in the cities where they can set up laser traps. Much easier to to what I mentioned above if you're a cop cruising around the interstate.

Yeah, I had mine for almost a year now. I drive around DFW all the time, and I only been scanned w/ laser only once - scared the hell outta me, but luckily the cop was aiming at another car.

And, where did this article come from? I think it's someone who's just anal against bright lights.. like a vampire!

Yeah, the V1 definetly warns you when it detects laser...the thing goes NUTS. Problem is, it also detects laser sometimes from LED third brake lights. I've noticed that new TrailBlazers set off the laser, but not constantly. If I'm behind one that has its brakes on, the V1 will go off every 5 or 6 seconds for a second or two. Weird.
