Default touch up paint issues

Does this stuff really work? And how well? I've heard only bad things about touch up paint. But I DO need some... is there another alternative or not? How much does touch up paint usually cost, and for what amount? Thanks for the help...

the honda stuff isn't very expensive, $5-10 for a little bottle. it's not ment for large areas, just to cover up some bad nicks. if used correctly it can do a nice job, if done poorly it can look worse.

Yea I bought from honda dealer before. It was like $5. If you do it correctly it will look nice.

tip when doing it that is common sense already, but just in case, apply thin layers letting it dry in between. Also don't go out of the crack border, let the paint kind of fill in the nicks by having it flow from the center of the nick to the border. In other words paint outward from the center, not inward.

I recommend you get some painters masking tape and mask around the nick or scratch. Then, using a decent brush (not the one included with the touch-up paint), apply thin layers allowing for drying time between layers. It's important to keep in mind that you're not touching-up the color, you're touching up an indentation. You need to get the touch-up paint even (height-wise) with the surrounding area. Once you get done, use a rubbing compound to even everything out, polish and then wax it. Done right, you'll never know the imperfection is there unless you get really close to it.
