I think it needs it to balance out the over-roundedness (IMO)

Persnally, I like it without the spoiler...the car is very round on the back and you ruin the look with the spoiler. Definitely a must on the previous coupe style but not on this one.
To be quite honest, spoilers are not an "in" thing like they used to. The newer cars look a lot better without a spoiler...plus you save the $$ (some $500 for the factory one on the coupe).

Spoilers are the modern day equivalent of those 70's vinyl covered roofs. IMO they look like crap. You are on the right path if you are thinking they are outdated. When spoilers show up from the factory on a KIA, it's time to get rid of them.

BTW, get this stuff on www.handaaccessories.com
good suggestion, my sister got the OEM kit for her 98 coupe for $570 including shipping and tax.

In my opinion, the '03 Coupe looks much better with the rear wing spoiler. We had to wait a week before getting the spoiler installed, and I really paid attention to the before and after look to make sure I'd made the right decision in getting the spoiler. After following it home from the dealership with the new spoiler, and having had it on for 4 days, I have to say it looks finished now. It was incomplete (naked, as others said) without it. I love the way it takes the line from the rear light lenses and joins them together.

I learned correct way... If you going to buy OEM style spoiler.. make sure to go with Genuine Honda Spoiler.. My friend bought brand new aftermarket OEM style spoiler for his 92 Accord and spoiler brake light only lasted 9 month + bracket rusted + it didn't inlude replay for automatic antenna..

For my current car I bought Brand new Made in Japan.. Color matched.. Genuine Honda Spoiler... No problem what so ever..

I have a Sedan, and I think the LIP looks better than the SPOILER.

nah i opted to go spoiler-less. i like the round-ness of the rear end. i could live having a spoiler, but i think it's really a matter of personal taste.

The lip does look pretty sweet.

I've never been for or against OEM spoilers on Accords. Sometimes it looks good with, sometimes it looks good without.

Mine is spoiler-less, and I like it.
