Default NEED HELP PLEASE! none of my gauges are working

ok first i have a honda certified used 1998 honda accord lx-v6 that i bought in june 2002 from a honda dealer. i installed a cd player in it in the summer and have had no problems with it.

ok on sunday i turn on my car and none of my needles on the gauges move at all, this includes the tachometer, speedometer, fuel and temperature gauges. all of the other lights work such as the seat belt light and what gear im in. the only things that aen't working are the four needles in the gauges. a wierd thing is that after i have turned the car off and taken the keys out of the car, the needle in the speedometer bounce from 0 to 80-100 constantly for about 5 minutes. on the digital odometer, it says "error" and the trip mile count does not increase while moving. the rest of the car works fine.

first of all i checked ALL of the fuses, the ones on the driver's side, the passenger side and under the hood. they were all good. i tried resetting the trip number using the nobs under the dash panel and it didn't do anything. i took it to a local car repair shop today that has some experience working on hondas and basically just checked all of the fuses and looked some stuff on tech bulletins and said that it was probably some wiring inside the actual dash. he said he would have to ship it off to be repaired and that it would be pretty expensive.

i have no knowledge of the previous owner installing any aftermarket gauges(like those white indiglo) or messing with the gauge clusters. i have no idea what is wrong and i am desperate for help as i don't want to be without my car for several weeks and it cost me tons of money.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!! has anyone even heard of anything like this before? any help will be MUCH appreciated. i will try and take it to the dealer sometime this week because it is about an hour and a half away.

Certified used Honda = Warranty!! Best bet is gonna be to call the dealer you need to go to..... tell them about your situation, and get an apointment for service... have it covered under that warranty.

That kinda sucks that your Honda dealer is so far away... there are 5 Honda dealerships within 45 minutes of me...

actually no warranty mess up with the dates and timing or something. it was shown as honda certified and we were about to buy it but when they submitted some info or something it turns out that the certification had ran out like the day before we decided to buy and we didn't get the warranty. i was saying honda certified because it went through the inspection or whatever but we just missed the warranty by a day we only went for the 3 month warranty so if i go to the dealer, i'll have to pay for the service.
