Default in-dash cd changer problem on '03 coupe

Hey guys, I have a question for all of you. I just got my '03 accord coupe v6 ex on tuesday of last week. Everything has been going quite well, except for one slight problem that I wondered if anyone else was having. My CD's seem to skip a lot in the in-dash cd changer... I checked the cd's to see if they were scratched and they aren't. Any thoughts?

skip alot in general or skip over road bumps/dips? Call the dealer.

So you...want me...to help you? Alright

Take it to the dealer. Mine only does it over extremely harsh bumps. The audio equipment is under lifetime warranty I think. It does this with all CD's?

dealer!

It takes alot to skip a cd player mounted IN a car. The whole car has to suddenly jerk hard! That means you just went over a really nasty bump or your suspension isnt working properly.

Does it skip even when the car is running smoothly?

Unless it's been changed, I thought electronic components held a 1 year warranty. I know I'm screwed with my stock CD Player in my 99, it doesn't read CDs at all.

Honda needs to outsource their CD players to a more reliable manufacturer. Perhaps I have a bias, but I've heard a steady amount of complaints about them.

I'm putting pennies in the piggy bank for an Alpine CDA-7894. Can't wait!

No, it's not just over bumps... it just happens randomly, and with all types of cd's. I went down to it this morning and put a brand-new cd in, just to make sure it wasn't due to the cd's... and it skipped too, leaving the f-in parking lot!

Off to the dealer I go, yo ho! I guess I couldn't get off THAT easily. Oh well. I was just checking because this is my first NEW car...

audio components are covered under the bumper-to-bumper warranty... none of that one year or lifetime shyt... If your car is still under warranty (a 99 would be unless its over the mileage), the audio equipment is too... assuming you havent done anything to the audio system at all.
