Default Brushed aluminum dash kit: yay or nay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1876416025

I have never installed one of these or seen one up close, but My lovely stock black plastic is getting worn and looking a bit ugly. Does anyone know whether or not these dash kit things are a waste of time? The one on the civic in the pic looks pretty pimp (for a Civic anyway *cough*).

The new accord I seen today had a brushed aluminum kit in it, looked very nice. Kinda off topic, all of the accords I seen today at Mel Rapton Honda were auto, I seen about 6 of em, even the coupe I seen was auto

what color is your interior? if the brushed aluminum and the interior color doesn't match, it will not only look ugly....but weird.

I dont understand your logic here. Since when does aluminum only match certain colors? Aluminum is like black and white, they match anything.

I am sure brushed aluminum would look like complete ass on a tan interior. luckily, i have a black accord with the grey interior. I think it will ok. I was just wondering if kits like the one on this auction are worth the money. I know 3M makes good adhesive products, but what aboutt he quality of the actual materials?

I know like 70% of the 5th Gens were auto (including all of the V6's WTF?). I think it is just an Accord thing. Automatic transmission is considered an option, and Accords are pretty much Honda's upscale sedan.
