Default Short Shifter & Pulleys and Cams... ?

I was considernig both. I *LOVED* the shifter that a Prelude has. Damn it was friggin' hot. I want to get it for my Accord. How do I do that?

And pulleys and cams... how much HP gain will I get from this? What are the downsides?

EliteAccord, need your help man!

By the way.. links to websites where I might find one or both would be VERY helpful. Cheap as possible, of course.

Here is a site for a short shifter for an Accord:

http://www.modacar.com/products/Honda/Accord/MODASSK

Another one:

And finally a pully system:

Please tell me pros and cons of each!

Basically I want to REALLY increase acceleration, and I was thinking that pulley and cams would work well for that?

And the short shifter what exactly does that do? I have nothing done to my engine now except resenator removed.

I just read a short shifter on an automatic is a waste? Is this true? What about cams and pulley kit---waste? What are the pros and cons of each?

What will REALLY increase acceleration?

the edit button is your friend....

yes a short shifter on an auto is a waste because you don't have to shorten the distance of the throw between gears.

the only cams for your f series engine are regrinds and are generally thought to be unreliable.

i've heard mixed stories about pullies. some people swear by them, others say it's a waste. it all depends on if you like having AC or have a system.

personally i think the easiest way to get faster acceleration quickly is to get smaller diameter wheels. they don't weigh as much, it takes more turns to cover the same amount of distance so you get into your power band faster, but your top speed suffers. just drop a couple hunderd on a set of steelies.

buy PSPEC's or 4bidden motorsport's short shifter modelled after the true C's short shifter.

I have a Pspec and its nice, though it is not perfect, neutral position sits too far forward for my taste. A revised version is supposed to be in the works... 4bidden's has 3 adjustable height spots for the cables and is supposed to sit in true stock neutral (his repsonse when I asked online).

You can get a 4th gen stock lude shift lever into a 5th gen accord w/ no problems.

Don't get AEM pullies....junk. Get Unorthodox Racing. do a search for my name and pullies in this forum you should find something.

You have an auto, so like the guy above said you can't use a short shifter. Do you know what a short shifter is? It's for 5spd and makes the throw to engage a gear shorter (and faster)....

Cams for F23 is gonna be a regrind. If your talking about cam gears, not much to be gained with stock cam. Also since you've only got one cam to play with youre limited in terms of the amount of tuning. you really also need to dyno tune with one of those...
