Default mp3 player in the Accord 2003

I am interested in getting a system as soon as i get the 2003. Does the regular cd player play mp3s?, because there is a option to buy a mp3 player.

Do you really think they'd sell an MP3 player if the CD player played MP3's? Obviously not, bro. Either buy the OEM MP3 player, which fits in the compartment that would normally house CD cases and whatnot, or get an aftermarket one and plug it in

What model are you getting?

I understand

Make sure you get the 5 speed with the 4 cylinder...that car is fast. 0-60 in 7.8 seconds, which is what the old V6 model did

I believe there's a plug (an 'AUX' plug) in the stereo unit for an MP3 player to plug into. I know this is the case with the Element, but am about 50/50 on the Accord. Check out www.honda.com, it might say on there how you plug an MP3 player in.

only becuz ALL past honda V6s, except NSX, are AUTO - & the DOHC design helps the HP/TQ rating & power curve

That's actually incorrect. The CL Type-S and the 2nd generation Acura Legend both had 6 speed transmissions available. But we get your drift

More than DOHC, the 2.4L engine (K24) in the Accord, CR-V, and Civic Si has i-VTEC. I dunno if you're familiar with this, kid, but it really makes the engine smooth at all RPMs. With normal VTEC, you get an abrupt engagement at a certain RPM. i-VTEC is smooth all across the powerband. I assume you've driven the new Accord 4 cylinder, and I dunno about you, but I coulda sworn the car was a V6 because the engine was so strong and had so much torque. The only thing that gave it away was the typical 4 banger metallic ping up near redline.

But keep in mind you have to be a REALLY good driver to knock off 98-02 Accord V6s...the 7.8 second 0-60 time was achieved by a professional driver. But it'd be a damn close race

*Edit: This year's 4 cylinder is a K24, last year's V6 was a J30A1. Completely different engines. The new 4 cylinder has all of Honda's latest technology ad engineering, that's why it's just as fast as the previous model's (98-02) V6.
