Accord V6 warranty

Accord V6 warranty
I have a 2001 Accord, which I paid extra for the extended warranty (7 years-100kmiles). Now Honda sent out a notice regarding that the tranny and torque converter may become defective and bumped up the warranty anyways...any chance of my getting a refund from the initial extended warranty? Its about half as much as a new tranny.

Good point...When I bought the car I paid for a 7 year/100k miles "bumper to bumper" extended warranty which included the tranny and everything else. I guess the thing honda sent out was for the tranny and torque converter only. I'm probably SOL regarding getting any money back, however, the tranny was the main reason why I got that extended warranty because of all the things Ive read about tranny problems in these forums!! I guess I'm wondering if a certain amount of what I paid that is allocated to the Tranny be refunded back to me. Seems fair.

mostlikely not. the extended warranty will cover bumper to bumper 60K and the drive train through 100K. the drive train encludes the engine too. if it were just the tranny covered, then definately.
