Wait guys, so that was the resonator that I removed? The black box and that the air filter sits on top of? And then theres a tube running from the throttle body? to on top of the air filter? A bit confused.

So this didnt negative affect my gas mileage? Thats good to know.

Yes the resonator is the black box that is under your filter...

SRI sucks, get a CAI. (Cold air intake). Louder and more HP!

Funny story real quick.

My neighborhood is all snowy and icey. So I was driving in the 2nd gear. Well I forgot to switch back to D-4 or whatver. Well I was driving finally around 40-50 MPH and I looked down at my RPMs and they were beteen 4500-5500. I was like what the hell!? So I slowed down to 20-30 MPH and they were still up near 4000+ RPMS. I was panicking! The day before I removed the resonator so I was just totally flippin' out. Like what have I done! My RPMs are so high I am going to burn my gas all out!!

LOL, me being car stupid + forgetful is horrible combo.

Anywayz the resonator is a huge sucka so when you take it out it's sorta like a baby? Haha, or at least that's what it resembled to me.

Then why did you get an Accord? I know I drive my car fairly hard... but even when I take it easy, Accords (5th Gens at least) are loud as hell even without exhaust or intake, removed res. etc. I have driven other cars like Camrys, and Civics for that matter, that are tons quieter.

 

i have an anoying whisstle sound comming from it its buging the **** out of me... anything i can do to stop it / ???
