i know that my car is slow, but like most people said, its fun bringing the ricer back down to reality.

My car has no low-end torque, but it PULLS after 4000rpms...

a 1990 RX-7 N/A beat me by only a car length and he's a very good stick driver...so i guess my car is partially good for some street racing...

Accords are aimed for mid class family and believe me, lots of people cannot afford accords and envy those who ride on one. They are built with great amount of quality, comfort, reliability, luxury on EX models with leather, and a decent motor that u cannot complaint about. Lets be thankful for what we have because there are way too many people that do not have what we have = an excellent daily driver that looks and performs like a winner (always being selected in the 10 best cars 10 years running) = accords.
That's a good perspective bro, I agree with you 100%

I bought my Coupe because it looks good, it's saves gase (4), it's big enough to be comfortable for long rides (the leather seats help a lot) and it's been one of the most reliable cars. My friends who drive VW vr6s all are pretty fast, but also in the shop all the time, same with my friend's A4. Oh and the parts and labor aren't nearly as expensive which translates to lower insurance rates.

If you want to beat a Civic Si you'll have to take out your back seat, passanger seat, power window and locks, the A/C, and anything else that you won't need for the race then you'll have a chance. Oh maybe the airbags too, just in case.

I used to think my Accord was pretty quick until I got the CL . Nah, the Accord still gets me around good... about 160hp and 2900 lbs. makes for some fun... The Accord is as fast as my roommates stock GSR was... ha ha! Too bad he had to go and Supercharge it

my car's slow but at least it's riding on the 18's and bumping the 15's, so i'm happy. it can beat 80% of the cars on the road (if you haven't noticed, 40% of all cars on the road are utter crap.)

Accords are nice....I love them alot..I have beat every Accord I have raced. But I only think I am fast when I am ahead of the enemy. I think If you tune a Accord in the right way.You could be one of the fastest on your street. I know a guy with a 95 Accord Wagon All motor H22A in there. He ran 13.5 last time I saw him. Im hopeing pretty soon I can get a JDM H22A engine or a JDM F20B engine in my Accord.....

Speed is a relative issue. For example, when I had my 5th gen it felt faster than my current 6th gen. But to put things in another perspective, when visiting back home, I made the mistake of driving some of my friends cars..........needless to say, after driving my friends skyline Gt-R, Gts-T (sedan) and anothers Supra TT, I can proudly say my car is very slow. But then again I didn't buy it for speed. Like others have mentioned, Accords are purchased for their overall value. I need something I like to drive and something I can carry my friends with in comfort.....hence my accord. I've always been a sedan man, and will be for a long time and for my price range and budget (broke student), the accord was a good choice.

It's reasonably quick once you get going, but the torque dearth kills you from accelerating quickly from a standstill.

The mods I've done have helped quite a bit, in my opinion (they're not listed....speakers, contrary to belief, do not make it quicker )

First gear is useless, too short, not enough punch, 2nd gear gets it moving come 3000RPM. I've raced a BMW 328i before and kept right with it, not losing an ounce of ground to him until we hit about 60mph or so (I backed off when I realized it wasn't happening ).

All in all, I think it's pretty good.
