Default 94 Accord Clutch Question

How often do the clutches in the 5th gens need to be replaced? I know the right answer is when they burn out, but I'm kind of curious here. some people have told me around 50-60,000 miles and some people have said like 200,000 thousand miles. I only ask because I have to choose really soon whether or not to do suspension work or the new clutch. The clutch I hvae seems to grab rather high, but I'm told it just needs to be adjusted. . .can anyone help?

get it adjusted first. I had this same problem like 3-4 weeks ago and got it adjusted and it's been fine ever since.

Honda Accords don't have hydraulic clutches...they are all cable clutches.

its not the clutch that gets adjusted, its an adjustment made behind the clutch pedal, I got mine done 3-4 weeks ago, the dude at clutch mart used 1 wrench and it took him like 2 minutes to get it adjusted. problem solved.

I don't know about that, I believe they do have hydraulic clutches, the dude who did mine said he couldn't adjust the clutch since it was hydraulic but he could adjust the pedal travel, which he did and fixed my problem, FOR FREE!!!!!

Accord/ludes have hydraulic clutches and civics/tegs are cable.

Clutch life depends on the driver and where the driving is done. Heavy city traffic usually means less clutch life. Obvioulsy if you do burn outs and drag race you wear the clutch. If you drive a lot of highway miles and don't abuse the clutch you can get 150k+ out of it.

:slap: thats why 2 months ago I replaced my clutch slave cylinder.

they are hydraulic.

You can adjust the pedal, but not the clutch... adjusting the pedal is not going to make any difference in the way the clutch grabs.

his problem wasn't the clutch slipping, in which case adjusting the pedal is a waste of time. his problem was that the clutch is grabbing high, in which case adjusting the pedal will take care of that problem.
