Default Stock speakers buzzing

Okay, so my crappy stock speakers are buzzing like crazy at loud volumes. Do they simply not have the power handling capabilities that my hu is putting out, or is the speaker itself damaged? (the front left is particularly annoying)

sounds like you blew them
try to get real close to the speaker and smell if it smells burnt
if so they're gone

when did this start happening?

Blown speakers. The foam surrounds are probably gone. Typical of stock speakers over time.

the stock speakers on a honda are not that strong. almost any aftermarket headunit turned up more then half way will blow them out. if its buzzing at the high end it was more then likely the cone and yeah it can be replaced but those speakers are junk and it would cost just as much to get new ones.

u kno where to find me if u want some info on good, decently priced, speakers

I didn't really notice it until I had my HU installed, and the guys doing the pre-install check told me they were bad. The previous owner likely blew them with his system. Until I decide to get good ones, maybe I'll just check a junkyard for newer stocks.
