Default JDM side mirror problem

i got a pair of JDM side mirrors for my 95 accord.. now i'm trying to take them apart so i can paint em. but I CAN'T!!!

the typical screw that you get to from the hole in the bottom of the mirror IS NOT THERE... WTF?!? i have no idea how to take these things apart. there are a bunch of screws inside that i can see by moving the mirror around, but its just impossible to get to all of them. has anyone JDM mirrors apart before???

I dunno man, I always thought you took them apart via unscrewing things in the hole where it connects to the car.

i'm taking apart the mirrors, not detaching them from a car. you think i got a pair of JDM side mirrors that were still attached to a car??

i need to take the shell apart so i can paint it...

all you have to do is remove the 3 screws on the bottom. take those off and the mirror will then be in 2 pieces. thats how i painted mine.

i could, but i'd rather do it properly, and get the whole thing painted. i can't sand the areas near the glass very well if the glass is still there...

No man, I was talking about the part that attaches to the car. I was actually thinking of a different style of mirror that my friend has. Good luck with that whole "JDM" thing. I wonder if the Japanese go "USDM"
