Default Maintenance Required Light Won't Go Off on 6th Gen?

OK, I know instructions for resetting the maintenance required light have been posted before - I tried those when my maintenance light started blinking -it didn't work but I didn't worry about it - I decided to deal with it when I changed my oil.

I ended up getting my oil changed at the Honda dealership. On the work order, they say they reset the light but when I started it up, it still blinked at me.

Now it's solid on while I'm driving.

I'm assuming solid on just means that, according to my odometer, I need an oil change, correct? Also, any idea why the light wouldn't allow itself to be reset? I'm assuming disconnecting the positive battery terminal for 10 seconds would fix things? Is this another issue with the bad ECM in 6th gen accords?

hold the button down, and move the key to ON (dont start it). keep holding for 10-15 seconds and the light will turn off.

Now I feel like a total idiot. Went and tried that and it worked just fine. Guess I didn't hold it in long enough.

I guess I assumed the guy at the dealership would be able to do it right.

Maintenance required light is not the same as check-engine light.

92 accord, which one are YOU talking about?
Maybe start a new thread & say what ECU error code it throws. If you don't fix the problem, then resetting your ECU does no good.
