Default 96 Accord is back on the road...

The transmission was toast, so I went ahead and bought a remanufactured transmission from Honda and had it put in at the Honda dealership. Also had the front motor mount replaced, rear main engine seal replaced and a vtec valve seal of some sort that was found leaking. I drove the car 700 miles back to Orlando and it ran great. I'm a little disappointed in the raman. unit as I don't think it's as smooth as the original transmission. Sometimes its smooth, sometimes it jerks... especially on the 2nd-1st downshift when coming to a stop. It does shift when its supposed to, however, and it is under warranty for the next 35,000 miles... so I'm not too concerned. Anyone had similar experience with a reman. Honda unit? Only thing the car needs now is some paint on the front, matching rims, a good full service tune-up (EGR valve/port needs to be cleaned to turn off the CEL), a muffler, and definitely some new suspension bits to replace the badly worn original components. Not even as much as a bushing has ever been replaced on that car in 12 years and 206k miles. Tming belt service wont be due until 260,000. Looking forward to watching the odometer roll 300,000! And I'm curious to find out just low long the original AC (that has never even had a recharge) will last, as well as the original alternator, power steering pump and about 95% of everything else thats still original under the hood. The engine has never broken down, failed to start or had any major or minor problem, be it mechanical or electrical. Truly great cars.

The ABS light came on for the first time as well. Is there any way to disconnect it? When I first start the car, I have to listen to the ABS module buzz for aboujt 5 minutes before it finally stops and the ABS light comes on.
