Default Sidemarkers... yes, or no?

I purchased a pair of factory Volkswagen sidemarkers from a junk yard... and im wondering what your opinions are on putting them on my accord..?? I'd wire them so they work with the turn signals only, I wouldnt want them on all the time with the parking lights... I dont think.

BOTH my front fenders need to be replaced now (hit a deer with the left, broken ball joint jammed the wheel into the right fender) so I guess I can put them in these fenders to see if I like them... then if I do, I can swap them to the new fenders when I get them.
If I dont like them, then i'll just leave them out of the new fenders.

What are your thoughts?? are they too ricey?? I thought if I got ones that fit well... flush to the body panel, they'd look ok... instead of the cheapie ones.

Eh, to each his own. Personally I don't think it's worth the effort and I think it'd ruin the lines. But if you like 'em, go for it. Shouldn't involve too much fabrication.

Its a hard chocie to make, cause once you do surgery to the fender there's no turning back....

make sure its what you want

I just got a set of Volvo S40 sidemarkers and will be mounting them into the molding on the fenders so it won't mess with the lines of the car. they will be recessed about 1/2"

That sounds sweet...I'd like to see the end result.
