Hey guys, i just picked up a '97 4 door Honda Accord LX with a 5 speed and about 180k on the odometer. Driven almost completely highway and well taken care of by my cousin(girl, proven by the original clutch still being on the car) It runs great aside from a mysterious thumping noise i hear when the car is cold and i accelerate hard to the right from a dead stop. But other then that its got a ton of new parts under the hood and runs great. Id like to pick it up in the speed department but i dont want my car to be loud as hell... so any ideas? I was thinking something along the lines of short ram intake AEM pulleys and throttle body spacer...

dont waste your money on bolt on parts that wont do anything but make your car louder and wallet lighter. face the fact that you have a good condition grocery getter and keep it that way.
ya i agree ive dropped alot of money into my accord and get me wrong it looks sweet but ive wasted alot of money tryin to make a regular car a race car when i should of been saving up for an evo or something
Im not really trying to make it a race car, just speed it up a little bit. If i want to race i get the keys to my dad's car man. But if you could say what would be the best like money/horsepower trade-off?
its been disputed many times before. just save up ur money for the h22. and if ur not really looking for serious power. just throw the turbo on the stock h22 later on.
