The 5th gen will win for a few simple reasons. First and foremost, the 5-spd. You loose way too much power in the drive train with an auto. Second is simple physics - the 6th gen is bigger and heavier. Third is your basic bolt-ons, you probably have an extra 5-hp at the wheels.

no way the 4cyl auto 6th gen can win, it's a 17 second car.

even if the 6th gen is a v6, the 5spd i/h/e 5th gen will still win.

 

A 6th Gen. V6 will smoke a 5th generation, even if it has I/H/E. Lowest time I've seen for a V6 6th gen. was 7.7 seconds to 60mph and low 16's in the 1/4. The 5th generation would be outrun

 

I agree, the 5th gen has 140hp?? which means the 6th gen has 60 more horses, minus the 5hp for the mods, minus lets say 7-10hp for the auto which is excess already, thats still 45-50 more hp, weight difference is no going to compensate for that much difference. 6th gen v6 would win do doubt, but 5th gen would win in the original question.
