I have a 1997 Honda Accord Special Edition. Has anyone removed the "Accord" and "Special Edition" emblems? I'm wondering if either one of them has screws to keep them in place because i don't want to start taking them off and find out that there are screws holding them in place. Thanks for your help.

 

Those are just held on with glue (at least they are on my 6th gen). You can take them off. People use hairdryer, dental floss, goo gone, etc to clean it up.

 

yea just adhesive. use some fishing line to get em off. clean up the gooey stuff with GOOGONE. =]

i coulda sworn that 5th gen accord emblems had holes behind em but i guess i'm wrong. :dunno:

 

Is it really that involved of a process? I'd like to shave the LX and Accord logos off my trunklid, and then paint my Honda logo black.

 

the H logos have pins that go into the metal. sucks for me, i want to remove the H on the hood...

 

the Hs have holes. the "accord" and "EX" do not.

 

 

 

What about the "Special Edition" emblem? Does that have holes?
