From the research i have been doing an what the dianogstic test said it was the shift solenoid??? Anyone have some input on that???? The shift solenoid is a hard part to find does anyone have any tips on a good spot to get it???? Also i have been reading if you take the solenoids off an clean them it normally fixes the problem anyone have any input on that????? if anyone has had the same problem reply please! TATTEDUP

it doesnt engage in gears fast enough while driving on d4?
Ill try to help ya as I replaced both solenoids on my accord so im a bit familiar with the issues you'll come across if yours is an I4. As hondacare couldnt do crap for my car ( since its not part of the recall 2002 )

when taking off from the light does it shift weird into second gear? sort of like a minor slip then it grabs?
detail the issues and lets see what we can come up with.

Default tattedup trans problems

Yeah the trans is all screwd up! I called honda about the recall, an my car was on it so i took it to the dealer an tried to slide through but they caught the mileage lol! does'nt hurt to try ya know? I was only 10000 over the limit! Nways my next step i think is to replace the odometer the entire cluster so the miles will be down so i can still catch the recall ya know? lol! Do you know if you change the cluster from a car with less miles will the miles from that car still appear on mine after replaceing it??? I know its crooked but i dont have 3500 to 4000 to replace it when honda will give me a brand new trans an torque converter for free ya know? If you no for a fact that the cluster from another car will work hit me back asap please! As far as what the trans is doing its like driving a slap stick you have to change gear 1st to d4 real slow an then maybe it will catch. Also today my d4 light keeps blinking i heard so stuff about that whats your oppion??? I ran it on the diagonistic an it said low gear ratio / shift solenoid what solenoids did you replace on yours because there is quite a few on mine! keep in mind i have the v6 coupe 3.0 at! if you have any other info hit me back asap! THANKS TATTEDUP

I know i can get it cheaper but why would i do that when all i have to get is another cluster an get everything done for free???? FEEL ME? Like i said my car is on the recall list but im the second owner an didnt know until i did the online thing. But i really do appreciate the info that would be my 3rd option! TATTEDUP

That is the most stupidest idea I have ever heard...plus when they run the VIN and find out that the mileage doesn't match, it will void anything.....just get it rebuilt, or you could DRAIN and FILL the trans and see if that helps, but you will soon need a new one

So you are saying if they run the vin they will now the miles????!!! The honda dealership i took it to didnt run shit, but what was in the papperwork an was on my odometer! Sorry for trying to get free shit from a corp that has the world around its nuts but if i can get it free i will feel me????? Do you know for a fact that if they run the vin num that it will pull up in they system how many miles??? You a HONDA TECH or something this is my forth one! I am good with HONDAS but i dont want to pay for a car that has been recalled an the owners before didnt know shit or negelted it or didnt get the newsletters! Come on i just bought it have'nt had it 2 months yet! would you like to get screwd like that or find the cheapest route to get it fixed so its not out your pocket for something you had nuthing to do with, bad craftsman shift!!!! FEEL ME! TATTEDUP

If i were going to buy a 98-02 Accord, I would search Consumer Guide to see if that model year was reliable....and as it turns out the Auto Transmissions on those cars are junk.....So in turn if i were still intent on buying an Accord from that year range, I would have money on hand to solve any future problems that WILL arise....Spend the 2000 or whatever amount and get it rebuilt or find a replacement tranny, and the car will last another 100k miles.....

So are you telling me that you dont know about then cluster or what??? I feel what your saying but i dont have the money to spend on a new tranny fell me????? I spent enough just gettin it from a Major Dealer! Hondas r Hondas i love them to death but you have to see where im coming from? if i new there was a recall on that model i would have never got it but i also have had no problems from the Hondas i have had before! I hate AT's this is the first one i have ever had but my other half cant drive a stick! I would have much ratherd a 5 speed then an AT dont get it twisted. A clutch is alot easier to replace than an auto! hit me back???

If you change the cluster you will need to change the ECU since the mileage is electronic.....it is not worth your time and it is fradulent
