I'm currently getting about 450 miles and a full tank
AC doesn't effect much MPG, i think the biggest factor that effect MPG is

Your left foot
whenever you accelerate go SLOW, image ur foot as the seconds hand on a analogue clock, if it moves any faster.. your wasting gas. If you keep that in mind you can save a lot on gas.

and then Faulty Oxygen Sensor..air filter..

Last time I filled up I calculated 24.9 combined mpg for my '05 auto 4 cyl Accord......is that about what you other 7 gen. owners are getting? I use the a/c all the time being that I live in Texas and do all my shifts below 2,500 rpms.

clutch does all that? whoa...

On Topic...

I was getting like 17MPG city in my 94 Protege, automatic. I was pissed. It turns out I was just driving it too hard from a dead stop. I didn't really think I was, but then I began to take it easy when I started from a dead stop, and got about 25mpg consistently (city).

Maybe you are just driving it harder than you think you are.

fill up your tank FULL, reset the trip Odometer drive till your gas light turn on.
Fill up your tank and write down the number of Gallons actuall USED.
Mileage on Trip Odometer/Acutal Gallon filled up=MPG
IE: 240miles/15gallons=16MPG
It's ~14.7 gallons.

Remove your intake air temperature sensor and clean the tip with carb cleaner and a rag.

The IAT sensor gets gummed up from crankcase vapors and over time forms a coating over the sensor tip, causing the sensor to give a false temperature reading. I clean mine every other oil change.

I've never been able to put more than 14.5 gallons in my car on a fill up, running on fumes kind of fill up.
