If your over heating .. your best bet is to turn the heat on MAX.

By the way.. how did you pinpoint the problem to the fan switch?

When the engine is hot both fans should turn on automatically. I found out one fan was totally dead. I install the new fan, but I noticed the fans would turn on for a few seconds or a minute and turn off leaving the engine still hot.

Hrm - are there meant to be pictures in some of these threads? (From JimBlake) I can't see any of them. Is there a setting problem on my end, or is there something else I should look into.

Edit: "View IMG" is enabled in my Options.

What kind of car?

Go to hondaautomotiveparts.com, choose the online parts catalog, then put in the info for YOUR car. I guess whenever they update their electonic parts catalog that breaks the links.

Not do discourage anyone from searching out old threads...
But another possible problem with searching out old threads is that Honda has used 3 or 4 different control schemes for their cooling fans. I've seen threads where there's 4 people asking stuff about all different years & versions of cars. All of us need to be careful whether the information applies to ALL cars, ALL Hondas, or only certain years, or V-6 vs. 4-cyl engines.

Default Sorry Stryker

the best way to check for HG problems is to have a shop check the coolant for hydro-carbons...ie-evidence of exhaust gases in coolant...sorry I was away for a while!
