Default one more problem. weird sound

my car is now making a weird sound, it sounds like a bad muffler or muffler with a hole on it. the noise is coming from the engine and that is not good. what could it be?

I found the problem. There is a big hole in the muffler pipe between the cat and the exhaust. I believe there was a recall, can anyone confirm? 96 accord 100k

never heard of a recall for 96 accord for that problem. might've been ur oxygen sensor that popped out, lol.

go to a muffller shop and they'll weld it for you for like 20-30 bucks

Is the pipe that is connected to the cat. the entire pipe is very old, 10yrs old so I will replace the entire thing is only $100.

Now my car is over heating wtf? does the broke pipe has anything to do with the car overheating?

nope. check ur coolant level in the morning if its good than ur fans aren't working, if they're working then it must be ur thermostat, and if that's not it then be prepare to empty out ur wallet.

I was driving in the expressway with the ac on for a while then once I got to local street and idle for few mins I notice the temp going up pass the middle. I turn the car off and let it cool down for a while, it was really hot yesterday all day. I started the car with the ac off but after 5mins driving it, it happen again.
The fans are working 100% the coolant is perfect and I even did a radiator flush a few months ago at the dealer.

it is a weird problem, the car went from perfect to a pipe with a hole on it and now overheating. I had a overheating problem before and it was a couple of fuse and some main relay.
