Backed door up against garage
Well, I got darwined pretty hard the other day. I was backing my car out of the garage but didn't fully close the door. Next thing I know I hear this awful crunch and slam on my brakes. I crunched the door against the garage door pillar. Luckily I was going hella slow and didn't throw the door out of alignment though the body shop says they'll check it to make sure.
I apologize about the crappy cell phone pic. And yes, the car is dirty, I didn't feel much like washing it after I jacked up the door.
So the body shop gave me an estimate of $450 to fix it, back to original, which is actually less than I figured it would be. Does this sound right or a little high?

Like you said, $450 seems pretty cheap. No matter what your gonna get ripped off, going to the junkyard to find the same color door would be a huge pain in the ass. I suggust you just learn from your mistake, be glad the paint isnt f***** up and pay them 450. Otherwise you will be stuck installing a new door and could potentially run into many other problems

LoL :gtfo: . I wish.
I'm kinda going with that option. Went to 3 other shops, each higher or around the same price. One wanted to charge me $1200 by blending the paint on the rear door and completely removing and repainting the drivers side door. Frankly I think they were just trying to take me for a ride h:. And I looked into getting new door but the cheapest price I can get one is $200. Then I'd have to prime, paint and mount it which as said, would be a royal pain and probably more expensive after the smoke cleared. I scheduled it up with the original body shop, they seem to be pretty reputable. I've never had body work done before, I'll have to get a post shot to go with my pre. We'll see how it looks.
