Default 5th gen upper strut bar install

Hey guys, im trying to install upper strut bars for my 5th gen accord sedan...

i got the front going, real easy

the rear is a little more difficult

mainly because i can't seem to get access to the mounting points, its all behind the seats/carpets and they got these screws that aren't really screws that i can't seem to take out

anyone had experience with this before?

and yes i searched

thanks

I haven't installed strut bars on my 94, but just got done doing shocks and springs and to get to the two 14mm nuts that hold both strut assemblies on in the rear you fold the seat back down, and remove the two black plastic panels just behind them. the panels were held in with a few little plastic "push in" type clips and just pop out. Once you do actually get in there a extension, and swivel deep socket on a air ratchet makes the job much easier, the nuts are kind of hard to get at...
good luck

Do you have pics of the rear strutbar installed? And do you feel a significant difference in handling?

no pics

basically i had to cut a hole (box cutter and just a tad of muscle) to let it through, but its all the way in the back of the trunk and doesn't get in the way of much

as far as difference i *think* i feel some difference (but could also be just placebo effect), specifically 2 main things

doesn't feel like its gonna roll over as much during cornering
reduced vibrations while driving esp. during high speed (my car used to shake like crazy pass 80mph, i was doing 90 with no vibration/shaking)
