Default Haven't been here for quite a while, but have a question for you guys

OK, I have a '04 Accord V6 six speed. It now has just over 60K miles. I had the Comptech 22 mm rear sway bar installed when the car only had about 4k on it. I also got a set of Michelin Pilot Sport summer performance tires in 225/45 X 18 inch size mounted on Kazara 18 x 7.5 rims. Shortly after that (but still 2 years ago) I purchased the Honda Factory Performance suspension at a good price from Erica Ramos. I haven't gotten this installed yet. I asked the Honda dealer and they gave me a $750 estimate for installation. Recently I asked for an estimate at a foreign car shop that does a lot of work for me (and has an EXcellent reputation). They quoted me $500, as long as it was just a straight remove old spings/shocks and replace with the new (in other words, plug and play replacement with no additional work or assembly needed). Does anyone know what's required to do this job?? Is it a simple remove/replace or is more involved (besides an alignment).

Any1 around today! All the car boards seem to be devoid of people today. It is a miserable, rainy, Nor'easterly day here in the Midatlantic to Northeast today. What's everyone up to, just stayed in bed today???

the boards are always slow on the weekends.

it should be a simple remove/replace.... as long as theres nothing else wrong/broken.

no matter what type of strut it is it seems to be the same way to install.
you place spring into shock, tighten it up and mount.

for 750 bucks you can buy a way better setup and still have money to install it.

I got my struts and springs installed for 150.00. Mind it I had all the parts so this was just labor.

Any tire shop should be able to do this for $200-300 plus $60-80 for an alignment.

Car-X should be able to do this, it's that easy. Hell pay someone on this forum local to you a 6-pack in your driveway, it's fairly easy. bond with a buddy.

Yeah if you pay 500 you're getting screwed. With a friend its pretty easy to do. But the easiest is to take it to any good tire place...the install shouldn't be more than 200.
