Default tac problem effecting transmission 95 accord

I have a 95 honda accord v6 automatic with 130,000. My tachometer jumps like crazy from 0 to actual rpm. When it starts doing it bad my transmission starts acting up as if it were trying to shift gears but doesn't actually shift. It will only happen when i have it in D4. It won't happen during hard excelleration. Not sure if it is related but the odometer doesn't work. Any suggestions?

So if you're driving 70 mph, all of a sudden the rpm's will jump from 0-rpm out of no where?

its probably your vehicle speed sensor. if not that then your ignitor module. do a search on the vehicle speed sensor. u can easily replace it yourself.

the tach problem on the 95-97 V6 accords are usally caused by a bad ignition coil.
