Default what's the best way to diagnose suspension noise?

i'd like to finally get this fixed but not sure how. i'm on koni yellows and eibach pro kit springs.

it basically sounds like a 'koon koon koon' sound as if something is loose when i go over bumps. i've checked all four tires and there is no lateral play in them. the rear sway bar is not loose.

from what i can tell the noise comes from the front and rear.

Have you checked your strut mounts.

I went through the same thing with my struts. About 5 months after install I needed to retighten that bolt and noise is gone.

thanks i'll give that a try, it does sound like it's coming directly from the shocks somewhere. i know they are not blown.

will this require removing each shock from the car? how much will it cost to get this done at a shop?

so i popped the hood and all of the nuts seem to be down pretty tight but it's somewhat hard to tell because they are rusted kinda bad. what do you guys think i can do from here?

hhmmm......

I've never tried this but you think jacking up that side of the car and playing with the wheel " by moving it up and down with the shock " would duplicate the noise?

hi guys i have a good feeling it's because of the eibach springs progressive design.. some of the dead coils are hitting each other. i'm going to try to stuff some cardboard between the coils and see if it sounds any different. if it does, then i think that'll be the culprit.
