Default Thanks for Help!

I thought this was a site where Honda owners who had had similar experiences could help other Honda owners with the same situation. Maybe save them time and money. The suggestion to "take it to the dealer" was profoundly helpful.

You're getting bent out of shape over 1 comment?

Your slipping transmission issue isn't something that can be fixed with a solenoid or an ATF drain and fill. It could be anything from a broken waste gate or a shredded synchro. With the information given, it could be just about anything.

Does anyone know if Honda has admitted they have a problem and willing to work with the owners of 02 accords on their tranny problems. Also have they found a fix to where if I were to take in to the dealer would I just have problems again in 20-30,000 miles? Thanks.

I believe so. I don't have an auto, but there have been numerous posts on this subject. If your tranny is having difficulty at such low mileage, there is a good chance HOA might chip in a little with parts cost or the such. The dealer may be helpful or he might tell you to get lost. Either way, you could contact Honda of America and explain the situation. Going to the dealer first would be the best idea though. They may be able to help. As for future trouble, I have heard of people who have to replace it again in 80-100K miles, but never 20-30K miles.

No, actually I hadn't. But thanks for pointing that out to me. It's my first week using this site and I didn't notice the tab, my bad. I have the 02 accord and a 2000 S 2000 and this could be great site if people like yourself point things out without feeling like you need to be what you called me. Sorry, I'll use search next time.
