no the stock bracket will come out when you take the three bolts out and then I just got some abs and made a new bracket for 6x9 speakers

they are actually 6x9 speakers but the encloser makes them 7x10

I had a 1996 LX and it had stock rear 6x9s. I guess some of them had 6.5s though. :dunno:

From what I've seen, most had 6.5's but some had 6X9's. I've yet to find the breakdown for which car had which speakers.

and for the original thread. 6.9 will fit but depending on the speaker you buy, u might have to do very little adjustment to make it fit.
