Default door lock question

On my '02 Accord LX, I can lock and unlock all four doors from the outside with the key on the passenger side but not from the drivers side. The drivers side only unlocks the drivers door. It would be nice to be able unlock all the doors from the drivers side. Is there a problem or is this how the locks work?

That model has a key turn switch that tells the multiplex to un lock all the doors when you turn the door tumbler. It probably has failed.

Its a bitch to change if you want i can probably find instructions.

try holding the key in the unlock position the rest of the doors should unlock, it's done of purpose if you was the driver you usally only want to unlock that door but if you unlock the passenger door the driver needs to get in also.

Well that is the problem I am having.
From the DRIVERS side door I CAN NOT unlock the other doors when I hold the key in the unlock position.
From the PASSENGER door I CAN unlock all the doors when I hold it in the unlock position.

It seems like it should work the same from both front doors.

It should work with both you are going to have to test you drivers door lock switch. If it fails the continuity test you need a new switch.
Use the attachments.
