someone probably needed the glass part only. it is a little hard and time consuming to steal the entire mirrors. I seen ppl stealing the mirrors from a cd5 while it was on a tow truck and the tow truck driver was getting coffee.
the dealer will charge $200 just to have both mirrors painted to match ur color car.

Just installed them and they just clipped on. Now i know how easy it is to steal those mirrors. Now gotta figure out a way to electrify them.

Somebody jacked my driver side mirror last year. Then I bought a mirror from dealer for $30 then I didnt tape it and guess what, it fell out and another car ran over it. I'm using the two sided tape for my mirror.

i was driving crazy as fuck one time and swiped a big orange cone, it shattered my mirror, from the picture it looks like you don't need to replace anything except the mirror itself, if you see the protruding pieces, the mirror attaches to all these. i think it is about 12-18 dollars per mirror. there is no need to tape them
firs push new mirror onto the central black piece and then push at left side first and snap that piece on and then press near bottom and push until that snaps on, clean the mirror and you are done

here are 2 pictures one of where it attaches, and the other of the back of the mirror
