but seriously... just unplug the power antenna harness in the trunk, and jam the mast down, problem solved: no mast sticking out, no up and down

The problem is the way the mast was pinched when it bent -- I can't get it fully telescoped. I suppose I could take pliers to it and try to get a round enough shape to shove it down. I guess it's worth a try! Though if I can remove it and make it look cleaner, that's what I'd ideally like.

it's pretty easy to fix holes like that. you can fix it up with some fiberglass and bondo.

If you want, u can spend $20 bux and get a replacement antenna mast off of ebay. I just got one last week (we have the exact same car) and it works perfect, and it'll extend and retract like new.
