Default Lucas Transmission fluid additive

i was changing my motor oil and filter and once i was done, i noticed i didn't buy the right lucas additive. i put tranny fluid additive into the motor, will this harm it?

Ouch I dont know but still Ouch hope you haven started the car yet.

Just make sure you drain the oil and refill it with OIL only. I stay away from those additives. I'm sure it can't do much harm.

i have already ran the car for about 20 minutes..... damage or no?

Perhaps. Motor oil can be used for tranny fluid but tranny fluid is far too thin for the motor, so you might have thinned out the fluid significantly. Change it ASAP and try to avoid oil additives. Totally unncessary for Hondas.

well i have used it before because of a small leak, but the tranny additive i put in it was really thick and runny at all

You are thinking manual transmission while I believe the OP was about automatic transmissions.

lemme get this straight you put tranny fluid additives in your motor?

Change your oil and filter. Run it for a few minutes. Change your oil and filter. Run it for a few minutes. Change your oil and filter.

Just to play it safe.

i am not going to spend over a hundred dollars on oil and filters. i don't think it really gonna hurt
