the cold air i got off ebay for my accord before i traded it didn't even have a mount on it. It came with those stupid ass parts you could use to make a mount point but last i checked i don't have a welder or torch on my garage. I constantly rubbed against my distributor and i checked it weekly to make sure my spark plug wires we're all on. Company brands are the way to go.

Not to highjack this thread but since we are on the topic of cold air intakes, is there any company that made a cold air box ex. similar to Comptech's Ice box (v6 only) for the 6th gen 4 cylinder?

I strongly advise you to stay away from ebay. I've seen too many people buy an intake off ebay, only to find warped pipes, and bad clamps that don't work properly. I would go with Injen. They make quality cold-air intake systems, for a descent price. The ebay deals are crap in my opinion...most of the ones that look nice and shiny begin to corrode and turn colors after a few months....

clicky....http://www.injen.com/intakes.html ...for more honda shit..check out http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/ ..beats going to tha stealership.

Default intake

after reading all of hose post's i felt sick, short ram intakes are great for a deep throaty sound but thats about it, even tho there is less turbulance in to the throttle body the hot under hood air temp it brings in evens out the gains that it givs you... Cold air is the way to go, if your affraid of watter being sucked up into your intake and experianceing catastrophic engine failure you can go w/ a bypass filter AEM or Ebay... ther all the same one just might last longe or look nicer. And as for which to buy, iv had luck with both ebay and over counter parts just make sure you buy from a good seller.

and what is a V4????

No. It has much more to do with proper resonance length. On some engines, like the J30A1, an SRI will gain more power than a CAI. If you have proper airflow underhood, the difference in temperature between a CAI filter and an SRI filter souldn't be great enough to notice.
