Default 1993 Honda Accord SE Needle Lights Failing

I turned on my headlights tonight and my instrument panel came on as normal but all the needles (speed, oil temp, fuel, rpm, etc.) failed to light up. I've tried turning the instrument panel light knob up and down, turning the headlights on and off, checked the fuse, and even gave it a good whack. Anyone know whats going on and how I can possibly fix it? It's tough to see how fast I'm going at night and it's only a matter of time before officer friendly comes knocking on my window. Many thanks to anyone that can help!

Hmmmmm....never had that happen to me. I had my Tach needle light go out, but it came back on a couple days later and hasn't gone back out. Never had all of them go out. Wierd. Good luck.

the lights on the cluster are chained together like christmas tree lights, so if one pops out of the cluster, they may all stop working. this may or may not be your problem. i'd also check the wiring harness to the cluster. later.

You sure they're linked like that? i highly doubt that if one goes out they all do, if honda did that on that particular yr/model then that was kinda stupid.......anyway yea the only thing left for you to do is pull out your cluster and one by one check the bulbs to see if any blew

the lights are not linked like old christmas lights... if one goes out, the rest stay on.

The needles in your car are lit from above with 2 #74 bulbs, it is possible that both bulbs are out... check on them.

no, not all of them are linked together, just some. i didn't put one bulb back in right and half of the cluster didn't light up. a quick twist fixed that.

i don't think it's his problem, but it's something to consider. later.
