I've also done oil changes and the tires are fully inflated around 35psi. Somehow i still get on average of 16 mpg doing 80% city driving 20 % highway. I've done a search and saw most people get more than 16 mpg. Could anyone please tell me what else could i do to improve my mpg. Would changing the fuel filter help??? IF the CEL doesn't turn on at all there is no bulb.

I can't see someone getting 16 mpg and no check engine light.

The spark plugs i replaced with are NGK V-Power plugs. Indeed there's no check engine light on. I'm going to seafoam the engine, clean the EGR port, change PCV valve and see how i do on my next 2 fill ups.

Also, try some lucas fuel injector cleaner and test the resistance of the spark plug wires.
