i think your notice dont got anything to do with the transmission. only 00-01 accord v6 got the extended tranny warranty. 98-99 dont have it, even though there are reported problems from those years.

 

It says Accord 01 cars. So 2002's are not covered?

 

for accords, only 00-01 is part of the extended drivetrain warranty.

so far, 02 is not covered.

 

How about 2001 i4's

 

Only V6 trannies were affected/

 

BTW what is the weak link in the tranny? is there one part that fails more than others?

Clutch pack just disintigrates for no rhyme or reason. My car is covered under the extended warranty as well. In fact this whole thing started after the disproportionate failure of CL-S and TL-S trannies. A few members got their stories covered in the newspapers, etc.

 

Yeah they're covered, you should have received a notice in the mail about it. I got mine uhmMm, back in October/November? I forgot but call your Honda dealership and ask them about it.

 

our autos are problem prone also, mine started slipping so i did a H22 w/ a 5sp swap. many other people have also done the same.

do you think we can get honda to reimburse us for that?
