Drivers side Power window
1996 accord...are any of you having problems with the Drivers side front power window going back up? powers DOWN fine, but have to hit the button , turn loose, hit the button, turn loose about 6 times before it will go all way back up. Mine and my daughters 1996 accords are doing the same thing and so is a friend of mine......hmmmm????
#3
its the regulator... which is driven by the motor, it keeps the window in proper alignment while moving up and down.. They wear out and dont keep the glass aligned properly, which gives you the problems.

I thought I had the same problem is you, but I replaced the entire regulator/motor assembly and it did not fix it. Then I noticed there was a gap in between the window and trim. I looked up some TSBs on my car and found this 1. I still haven't fixed it yet but I might give it a shot in a week or so. If you want the pictures email me or pm me. I will be getting them later for personal use anyways.

my new problem with the drivers power window
If I press the button to go down, it goes down the first try but when I press it to go up, sometime it does and sometime nothing at all happen. I think I might have some power stuff lose or someting. i feel like replacing the entire door.

If you have a service on your car coming up anytime soon, take it to the dealer. Last time I went there, (I have an 05 ExL btw), the salesman told me that this window stuff is something that nobody bothers to ask about when getting checked. The motor is something that eventually tends to give you problems but is often ignored. The funny part is that the check is actually free. I'd do that first just to pinpoint the problem and go from there.
