Default 97 Accord Power Door lock actuator (need advice)

I have a 97 accord coupe with about 160K. When locking my power locks, the door lock actuator in the passenger side door makes a loud buzzing sound.
I took apart the door panel and looked at the necessary steps in service manual.
I have the option to buy a replacement actuator or a new latch with an actuator already attached.
72115-SV2-003 ACTUATOR ASSY., R. DOOR LOCK $88.45
72110-SV2-013 LOCK ASSY., R. FR. POWER DOOR $136.53
I would prefer to buy just the actuator and attach it to the old latch. (would save me about $50). Can anyone attest to the difficulty in doing this? Or is it best to replace the entire module (latch + actuator completely assembled).
Also when removing the outdoor door handle (necessary to replace the actuator), there are two bolts (accessed from inside the door) any tips in how on how to remove the hard-to-reach bolt?

the buzzing sound is the actuator motor spinning at the end of it's cycle it works fine just anoying if you must replace you just pull the latch and repace the actuator it's not too hard just remember to replace the grommet that hooks the latch to the outside handle if you reuse it the linkage might pop out.

i also have a 97 accord and I have had this same buzzing sound for about 3 years now... It still works and actually comes in handy if I am looking for my car in a crowded parking lot. My advice is leave it alone...

Even a Haynes manual is fairly clear on how to remove the panels.

I just did this very same job on my 95 driver's door. I was sick unto death of listening to it buzz everytime I hit the door lock button or locked the car from the outside with the key.

The job was pretty easy and with just a little time, I had the new, used unit in and it working again. And it's... Q U I E T...

it's pretty easy just use a good screwdriver as the bottom screw is very tight and will strip if you don't have a good tip on it.

I've got the same problem with my rear drivers side door actuator. Only thing is mine's won't lock/unlock the door, but still screams when the power's hit.

How do people get that hidden bolt loose to get the outer door handle off? I bought a copy of the actual Honda shop manual off ebay, and it shows there's supposed to be a little access hole in the door sheet metal, but there is no such thing.

Any updates/suggestions?
