Default Tinting Problems????

Hey, i got my accord coupe tinted and the rear windshield is kinda mess up on top. It's kinda noticeable if you stand close to the car. I asked them about it and they said that happens a lot to coupes. I guess it's because the glass has all those little defroster bumps on the top? Anyone else experience this problem? Should i have them try to do a better job again?

The hell with that, they should give you a better excuse than "that happens to a lot of coupes" you should get your whole windshield tinted again.. or tell them you want your money back.. they should have some sort of warranty and those defects should be backed by the warranty

its the dot matrix. your tint shop should have a solution to fit the problem. such as putting a strip over the dot matrix before they tint. just go to your tint shop, let them know of the problem and they should be able to fix it. did you use high quality tint?

done from one of the top rated guys in my state...i mean if the same problem happened on more than one car from more than one tint guy...i dont think it was something they could really control...but that tint strip sounds like a good solution...guess ill head over there when i get home and talk to someone about it.

i have mine done and they got it to apply pretty well to the dot matrix. on my receipt it says that they do not guarantee that the tint will adhere to the dot matrix, but they did it. i think the way they did it was to take the edge of the hard card and start pressing it into the gaps, then take a heat gun (or a hair dryer in your case probably) and use the heat to make the glue adhere. i've tried it before and that worked for me, but its really time consuming and starts to get on your nerves really quick.
