Tinting Problems????

A good tinter will tint over the dot matrix with no problems.
The guy who tinted my g/f's 05 Accord LXSE coupe tinted right over the dot matrix, and it looks 100% black. No air pockets.

thats why you gotta go to a reputable place. cheap is not always best.

hey guys, damn, that's a lot of replies...lol...guess it's true about accord coupes...I don't know what generation but it's 05' coupe. i'm gonna return on saturday and see if they can fix a it a bit more or re-do it. I made them give me a lifetime warranty against it turning purple and air bubbles.
It doesn't look horrible but I want the best tint job you know????
the strip thing sounds like a good idea. we'll see what happens on saturday.
I'm pretty sure it's good quality tint because they have all these banners hanging with the brand. I'll check to see what its is.

hey, if i get it redone will it really mess up those defroster lines? i was reading the other thread "window tinting" and someone mentioned it might happen.
oh yeah, if you have the rear windshield tinted are you able to use the defroster? will it mess up the tint? i've heard this before.
Is the "dot matrix" just a design or does it have a purpose?

well the dot matrix, IMO is more look than anything else...supposedly it distributes the heat over the top of the glass where the defroster really doesnt get to it...alot of BS in my opinion considering the top is always the first to defrost for me....
but yes, you can still use your defroster and no it wont destroy your tints...providing you had them done a while ago (want to say more than a week or so ago) just to make sure the tint has adheared and all that. If it does go bad, just bring it back and have it re done....again...

you NEED to wait at least a month before you can use your defroster. the glue needs time to adhere and if you turn on your defroster and heat up the window you're gonna get bubbles. it happened to my friend's integra and they wouldn't honor the warranty because it's apparently in their warranty that you cant use the defroster for at least a month.
