Default Has anyone ever installed this?

A while back, I bought an adapter for my radio that would let me use the steering wheel audio controls with an aftermarket radio. Problem was that I couldn't really install it myself and I ended up returning it(I bought it from Crutchfield BTW). So I was wondering if anyone with a V6 Accord has ever bought one of these adapters and installed them successfully. And if so, could you give me any pointers as to how to install one successfully and if it retains a completely stock looking setup? Anyone try this product?

The adapter is a I-PacX or something like that.
They work with some radios. I bought one but it doesnt with with my sony xav 7w radio. You have to make sure its compatible.
The pain in the ass is programming it with your controls once its installed but, it could be done.

I have the PAC SWI-X Radio remote control installed in my 02 EX V6 and it works excellent. I had no trouble programming it to work with my Kenwood headunit. I have it set up differently than stock, now volume + controls track forward, the middle button, moves forward through folders or am/fm bands and Vol - does track back, so I can scroll through all of my radio presets or any file or folder on my kenwood music keg without letting go of the wheel. I have the brain hidden behind the lid of the storage bin, right below the radio and the infared led is on the front side of the console just below the armrest. The only problem I have is in the summer time if the car has been sitting in the sun for a long time, the remote control won't work until the inside of the car cools down a little bit.

So that means you have to keep the LED exposed for the controls to actually work then? Could you possibly show me a picture to see exactly how yours is set up.

BTW, I have a Panasonic CQ-8400-U head unit with the remote and all that kind of stuff.

I bought that same one but it proved too much for me to install the first time.

The led has to be able to shoot a clear signal to the front of the headunit. Sometimes, if I have a supersized drink in the cupholder that is blocking the led, the remote won't work. I installed the brain of the inside the dash, basically it's between the cd storage compartment under the radio and the cover above the lower storage bin. Then the led wire is run underneath the black storage cubby and it continues on underneath the console, then it comes up through the inside of the lower storage area under the armrest, you can see it in the second pic, it's the tiny dot in the upper right corner of the console. Sorry for the blury pic.

Ok, now I get it. It didn't mention that specifically in the instructions but I knew that the LED had to be exposed for the thing to work. So you basically removed the center console(which I don't know how to do, hehe) and just made the little hole for the LED. I can see how that works.

What about the wires? Because I tried following the diagram the instructions had but I was too afraid of splicing into the wrong wire and not being able to reconnect it correctly. It mentions only the number of the pin and not the specific wire, if I remember correctly, and I wasn't sure which one to splice into.
