Default smokey startup

gotta '90 ex thats a little blue on the startup. bought the car 15,000 ago and currently has 144,000. it only smokes in colder weather when starting up so i automatically figured it must be valve seals b/c my '73 ford pickup used to do the same thing and that was the problem. does this sound right? smokes a little bit at first and then burns off within 30 sec. do honda's use valve seals or are they just sealed off by the guides themselves?? thanks guys

ps. mentioned a few weeks ago about a "starting air valve" found at the drivers side end of the intake plenum. anyone know where to get one? the diaphram on mine leaks down so its a rough startup. thanks again
