Front axles bad 2 times??? 1995 Accord
I've had the front axles on my '95 accord changed twice and now I'm getting the same rhythmic, bang-bang-bang when I turn the steering wheel sharply to the right while in motion. Am I being scammed? When the second set were installed, the dealer said the first set was defective. Same dealer installed both sets.

About 2 weeks elapsed between installations. Now it has been about 4 weeks and it's starting again. The second set and labor were free but the aggravation factor and time it takes to get to the shop, etc. are issues.

if this make u feel better i can tell you a friend change his axle 3 times then he finally decided to buy one brand new from autozone with lifetime warranty and he hasnt had a problem ever since. the brand new axle is not made by honda.
the honda dealer in my area told me "honda does not make new axle for my car" i have a 5th gen, i really dont know how true this is.
honda rebuilds the old axle. autozone offer aftermark axle with lifetime warranty. thats what i did because i didnt want anything rebuild and i failed to find any new oem honda axle.

I bought the car with a bad CV joint and had them both replaced. Since then (about 1 month ago), my right axle/cv joint clicks on left turns. I do have a warranty and will be returning because I did get the feeling that (from what I've read), they filled them with grease and charged me for a replacement.

blah the CV joint hell. good luck, thoses things go bad and then the problems just keep coming, as i have found, if your CV joints go bad, alot of times they will cause something else to go (stablizer links) at least in my case. or i guess something else could have caused them to go, and if that problem was not addresed it will continue to cause new CV joints to go. so if i was you i would go back to the shop, and ask them to check other things, you never know if they payed attention to area around the joint, like tie-rods ect.
just from my own experiance of haveing other parts kill my cv joints.

i had an 89 prelude just before i got my new one and i had the same exact problem. when i bought it it was fine (im betting the guy i bought it from replaced them then quickly sold me his problems) anyways about 4 weeks after i bought it i was starting to get some vibration and clicking sounds around corners. so i replace both axles with rebuilds. all was fine until 4 weeks later, then same story over again. they start chattering and i get some vibration. so i thought, "must be bad rebuilds" I still had my receipt within 30 days and got my money back and went somewhere else and bought another set of rebuilds. guess what happened 4 weeks later...... well im imagining you guessed it, same vibration and clicking. i was getting upset at this point. i drive the car on bad axles for about a year.after being annoyed by the problem, for some stupid reason i thought "hey maybe if i try just one more place to get rebuilds from" so my girlfriend at the time had an uncle that was a mechanic and he ordered me some rebuilds. well needless to say 4 weeks later i was visiting with my same problem again and i gave up. didnt want to put more money into it and just drove it that way. the car had been front end wrecked before i bought it and im willing to bet that it had something to do with it. maybe a twisted frame or something.
